What do we think of going in at 8p though? Even a modest investment could swing to a 100% return based on the 20p forecast?
Up 26% now.
40% now - seems nuts to me and this is day traders playing with the volatility

CINE shareholders will get wiped in a debt for equity deal in the next 3-6 months IMHO
Surprised Cine still trading been to Leicester Square n o2 even weekend it's hardly packed

Was in and out of TED a few times and think overall I was in profit although sold a few weeks ago at 88p thinking it wasn't going anywhere, having bought in at about 113p. The big question is why accept 110p when they've already refused 137 & 155 as undervaluing the company? Skulduggery!
Yes, that does seem very odd - defeat snatched from the jaws of victory.
Looks like the major shareholders are onboard. Very, very, odd.

From a (very!) brief look at their numbers the business looks to be loss making albeit improving. They had about £70m of debt headroom just after the start of the year, but most likely a good chunk of this is consumed now.

Could it be that the management got a bit greedy when it was the potential buyers with the stronger hand? I'd be revising my offer down if a cash crunch was becoming more of a possibility

+234% this month. Not really a bad performance tbh.

The silly thing is they pump up the price and the ultra wealthy (like Ryan Cohen) either release more stock at inflated prices or cash in their holdings leaving the apes talking about hold the line. I saw one user had made about $2M+ profit on the Reddit but no idea whether they actually realised it.

I'll just stick to investing in my value stock like Blackberry and AMC tongue out

Not sure what to make of today's GGP update - 30% of Havieron retained with NCM not taking up their option at $60m - and GGP having offered them $85m in the recent past. I wonder if NCM has a few TED board members on their board.

It dropped back to 10 after hours. I doubt many of the WSB folk are well in the money at that.

Hmmm

On the one hand the feeling was 60 was taking the piss

On the other it’s not a vote of confidence

Unless other factors in play

I can't see the SP doing anything but falling back without news or rumour.

SD did a video this morning saying how delighted he was, I think LT its very good news

Down 2% is pretty good

Postive spin is NCM needed the 60m for other priorities like paying a dividend to keep SH happy

10k buys for a well paid director send the signal of a spoof to pump the price.

£10k if you earn say £200k (so 100 net) is not insignificant

it cant be paltry of course

Disagree. It's simply not chunky enough to show real confidence in the stock. You want to see the director loading up because he knows the prospects are good and the stock is undervalued. If there was a pattern of 10k buys then I'd accept the point, but a one off when the director may have taken 500k from the company over a 2-3 year period? Nah. 30k on a 200k salary and you might start to get my attention.

Of course this would fit into a bigger picture of the director if you wanted to look at it with more nuance. What is there existing shareholding in the business? What are their options and under what terms can they be actioned? Are they wealthy from previous ventures? What has been their previous pattern of dealings? How much are they really putting on the line? If a 10k buy helps get a fundraise away and keeps them in a job for a few more months it becomes a great investment on a personal level...

I thought you would

of course it depends on circumstances, if a director has a normal life ie house with a bit of equity, mortgage payments, school fees car and household to run that 200k salary might be 20k after life, so yes 10k would be material

if he has a 5m house, no mortgage, a fat pension pot and 10m of investments its not

Either way, lack of directors buying is not painting a positive spin on the stock. It's great coming on interviews and saying how excited you are for the company etc, but unless you/they put their money where their mouths are it's the usual hot air / decline in SP
