And that's where I'm a bit nervous, I bought their stock on the CFD platform on IG and it won't let me raise the stop level above 1.95. I might close few positions soon to get at least part of the profit out. A bird in the hand...
I'm using IG, and I don't seem to have the 'stop' and 'limit' columns available - can't see them in settings to add them either? Are you using the free version of the platform? I'm guessing those features aren't available to me.
This is what I see when I click on any of my Open Positions on the CFD platform, also works on the IG Trading android app:

Does it let you up the stop value if you unclick 'Guaranteed Stop'? The guaranteed part might mean that they settle at that price even if the share flops to 0p in seconds, so they might just not offer a proper stop price if they have to guarantee it.

Ok, are you on the L2 platform? I don't get those options... Just the basic 'buy' and 'sell'!
If I am then I have no idea how I ended up on it, there's no mention nowhere in my account details and I have set up a basic free account with a really small initial deposit.

I can't deselect the guaranteed stop now, but I've already contacted their helpdesk.

Ah, it's clear now. They review the guaranteed stop limits based on the price fluctuations and due to the current spike they're playing it safely. A bit disappointing but hey.

In other news, someone tipped me about CYAN:LSE. Might be a flop, might be massive.

was almost 9k up on ukog earlier. It's not easy holding when it could be so unpredictable.

Ok, thanks, not sure what I'm doing wrong in that case!

I just worked it out! PotatoSalad - you're using CFD and I'm just buying/selling shares... Answer was staring me in the face all the time.

Got stopped out of UKOG in the end. Kinda kicking myself a little as I was enjoying it, but that was the plan and I'm glad I stuck to it (that's a first for me, I'm learning!). Will look to get back in for maybe a short term trade in the next couple of days, hope to ride a bit more out of the impending news.

Good luck to those still in smile

UKOG is a flippin rollercoaster this morning! Set a limit buy at 3.35 about 8:30 when it was at 3.8something, which got triggered about half hour later. Hopefully it'll settle down a little later and find it's happy place, but we shall see...!

I can't find any news, have I missed something or just people selling to take their profits?

Think it's more likely just a volatile AIM share having a bit of a wobble. Any slight drop on a share that's been on the up will be exacerbated by profit taking, but as the %-age rise increases on any AIM share, it seems so does the %-age chance that it'll drop for no obvious reason (although I'm not sure AIM shares adhere to normal rules!).

Seems to have settled a little this morning which is good.

I'm loving UKOG at the moment smile

I'm still standing by what I said yesterday, but keep a keen eye on your stop prices. As much as I would like to believe (and I do!) that this is a reflection on the company's potential value rather than just riding the good news train, a smallcap having 4 or 5 +double digit days can quickly take an about turn. I do think there's more to come though, but my stop price is now quite tight for a bit of a safety net (current price is 3.88p, my stop is on at 3.65p).
May I ask which trading platform are you using? It dipped today and I wish I could edit my stop price on couple of positions yesterday to get some of the money out before it dropped to 3.50. I'm a bit disappointed with mine in that respect. Their leverage is also a bit cloudy, it's linked to the stop level but hard to tell what the leverage actually is and I don't seem to be gaining any more than I would on a simple ISA shares purchase.

I'm on barclays stockbrokers at the moment, although I'd hesitate to recommend them. Their charges are OK at the moment at £18 every 6 months and £12 a trade, but they are changing to £17 a month and £6 a trade in August!! Depends how many trades you do as to whether it pays off, but I'd guess many people don't do enough to warrant it!

Hargreave Landsdown are supposed to be good, but I've no personal experience with them myself.

Wasn't there something that spooked investors in the amount of returns they were dealing with..?

UKOG down to 2.95-3 today. Time to get rid of it or hold and wait? BUY volume higher than SELL currently.
