I thought if you won the million NS&I contacted you before the main draw? I think I read it on this forum somewhere. Could be wrong.

I think I heard somewhere that they have a person whose job it is to visit the £1m winners in person to notify them and that that is done in advance of the other prizes being notified.

Have had premium bonds for 4 years. Annual return is sitting at about 2.5%. So not too bad. No big prizes though, apart from £500 in the very first month...

They haven't. Its like the Lottery. It's all planned two weeks in advance.
