On the other hand, I know four people who hold the full amount and a few more who have several thousand invested and they all tell me they've never won a large sum.
My sister did once win £1000.

I guess some wouldn't mind sharing on here if they'd won a large prize. I wouldn't go public with a lottery win, but on the other hand, is it something you could keep from people you know (unless you've already got a lot of money)?
I once read a wild theory that the top prizes go to people who the government want to pay off.

I think your sample size is a little small to be drawing any conclusions.

Well, one factor is the Premium Bonds are only drawn once a month, so roughly 756 draws since it started.
