Stick it by the switch; it will cast enough light to see where you're aiming but not wake the wife up or stun you.

Plus, hear her scream as you come back in hehe
Do you say to her, "It puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again."?

I have something like this in one of our bathrooms - wave a hand in front of it and the LEDs light up. Wave again to turn off.

If you want to do it properly fit a home automation system. Program a lighting scene which lights the en-suite at the right level, and gently lights the way there with skirting lighting.

Then, you mount a pressure pad under the carpet by the bed, and program it to activate said lighting scene when activated while the house is in night mode or the wake up alarm is set.

It might be overkill, but it's very cool.

We have one of these http://www.bellabathrooms.co.uk/tavistock-heat-led... and it stays on all night in our bathroom, not mega bright or costly to run but more than enough to have a piss by....

Do you have a glass brick wall dividing your bedroom from your en-suite?

If not, wouldn't closing the door do?

Light switch bedroom side.

Toilet in bathroom side.

Door needs to be open to allow my passage from bedroom to bathroom biggrin

You run another pull switch between the existing switch and the light(s) in your en-suite. Obviously depends where the wiring is so could be a nightmare/almost impossible.

How about a battery operated lamp (available in £1 stores but better ones available no doubt) that can be stuck or screwed next to the toliet?

When I mentioned the door, I meant could you close it behind you so that the light from your en-suite doesn't flood your bedroom.

Yes. I cannot help but notice that the few times this has been queried (and it is the bleeding obvious no expense solution) that it goes unanswered.

It is obviously possible, just making a bit of a joke and a comedy stand against my wife who wants all 3 of us boys here to sit down all the time!

Nothing more than that really. Even if I do this I still have to get there in the dark over a step and onto tiled floor!

Seen in Costco this evening - perfect:

Battery powered, noise activated, soft close hinges, and as an added bonus...anti-bacterial.

Perfect... Just perfect. I'm half tempted to get one simply for the gadget factor. However I may return from Japan with one of those electronic squirty toilets instead!
