Kitchen Units in Garage...

[quote=Flares&Chestwig]Posh Did the whole lot for about £180. I have a small garage so floor space to me is key so had to get as much off the ground as possible. Problem with cabinets though is they just get filled with crap you never going to use again, or maybe thats just me.

They do look posh when compared with my truly old kitchen cupboards, almost Snap On like!
And its not just you, i have an entire garage full of crap and stuff i wouldnt use again...

to be honest we put ours in the local weekly free paper...
I have some ex-office metal cabinets (£20 off ebay), with £10 a set castors fitted so I can move them around. I painted them red with Hammerite garage door paint.
Really happy with the result. Does help that they were really good quality Canadian units with very thick steel. When first bought I'd estimate they were 30-45kgs each (hard for two people to carry the length of the garden).

Fail! That work area is far, far, far too clean! Where is the grease, oil and stickers? Really happy with the result. [quote=Flares&Chestwig]I went down the ebay route and the IKEA PS cabinet range which are metal, not great pictures but give you an idea. There often on ebay and about £15 a go, the long horizontal ones are suppossed to be TV cabinets, I just took the legs off.

Nice, I used a small one of those red Ikea cabinets on castors as a base unit for my tool chest.
