Thanks guys. Here's a reminder of where it started....

It's taken me nearly two years of working on it evenings and weekends! Way longer than I thought but so pleased with the end result.

As above - they look fantastic.
If you described what you've done (i.e. the whole house decor) in words, i'd think it'd be headed for the "horrors" thread but it works really, really well.
Thanks. We don’t plan on moving for a very long time so thought we would just do what we want If you described what you've done (i.e. the whole house decor) in words, i'd think it'd be headed for the "horrors" thread but it works really, really well.

I looked at the painted cabinets as they were being done and thought, "Hmmm....", BUT, the view from outside in really shows they work. Top marks!
As for the "control freak" and worktops with school graffiti
Nice one!

Whole house looks awesome!
Thanks guys much appreciated Wow. What a result. You know what? This has really inspired me, we have a house of a similar vintage, and have been thinking of extending.
This thread has made me realise that a) we need to go for it, b) i can build it myself and c) we need to be more bold with colour choices!!!
Currently drawing up the existing plans on CAD and a wad of paper sketches and mood board ideas to put into the proposed drawings!

Next mini project was building something to go on the gable end wall of the kitchen, saw a photo of a 50s motel I liked so got to work on that.

Any lockdown updates for your mad but lovely house!?
Thanks for asking. The plan was to do nothing this year after all the extension work but lockdown changed that game! First thing was to get my son exercising so he wanted an assault course...

Then it was my son's Birthday at the end of April. He wanted a new den so I decided to give him my old shed and build a platform up in the woods at the back of the garden.
