Anyone here got one of these?

They are very expensive but I've only ever read positive reports on them. Might go and look at them at the nearest dealers, then look for one second hand.

I love mine - it's only 6 years old so can't comment on quality, but it still looks like new, it's the chair everyone makes for when they come in.

I tried several in the store and ended up choosing the smallest, I think each range comes in 3 sizes, and some are really wide.
I'm a short fat bloke.

I've got 2 of them, not the most uncomfortable place to spend time: Make sure you get the swing table as well, perfect for resting your pint on!

I bought a Stress less sofa and office chair last year after asking on here and doing some research. Yes they are eye wateringly expensive but hugely comfortable and very good quality and long lasting.

We have a couple. Very comfortable. Some of the modern ranges are better-looking that the more traditional stuff.

I have 2x two seater sofas plus a footstool for sale - as new, dark brown leather and dark wood.

PM me if interested.

Parents have a pair with side table and they have been recovered 3/4 times now... they love them and have had them for years and will never let them go.

My parents have a chair, and two sofas (non reclining). The chair is almost 25 years old, and looks in very good shape - it had the hard wearing leather option.
The two seaters are different ages, the first is probably 20 years old and looks like new, apart from the wood aging where your hand goes (in a nice way). That's had new foam cushions once I think. The other is maybe 15 years old and looks brand new - no signs of aging at all, but then it dosen't get hard usage every day.

If you can afford the outlay, and pick a timeless style they will be the only sofa you buy!

Be interested to know how much they would be to re-cover as I'm sure I'll inherit them one day!

I have had one for about 12 years after I hurt my back. It's a lovely thing, everyone's favourite perch and do get the G+T table! Mine is a like a Vegas in blue - I wanted the one with the highest backrest as I'm tall. I didn't get the footstool at the time and do regret that now - those are a lot for what they are though.

After looking at the website, blimey, they are expensive now so shop carefully as there are deals(mine came from a very helpful Hatters at Bedford where they were quite happy for me to sit for a couple of hours with my book to test it!)

If you want I can find out off my folks as they have just last year had the 2 chairs and stool done, apparently the last colour (red) didn't suit the room anymore so they redid them... don't know if it was an official recover or a local expert, but who ever did it did a fantastic job.

I have one of the classic recliners in my study - green leather and oak frame, with footstool and swing table. Bought off eBay for £400 from a refurbisher in Newcastle area. Excellent chair, super-comfortable. The swing table is essential.

I'd also be interested in how much they cost to re-cover.

Most of the colours for sale on ebay are a bit yuck , but I was thinking if re-covering was reasonable could be an option for a conservatory chair?

Yes Please!
Ballpark figure would be good if they can't remember, My mum is often talking about replacing the one I like - not sure blue leather is my thing though (it does look better than it sounds though)

£700-800 for antique effect brown/mushroom leather, with a bit of padding replaced in one chair.

Thats for 2 chairs and the foot stool, so I guess work on £300-£350 a chair and £100-200 per foot stool.

Local leather restorer as stressless do not have a service like that themselves according to the old dear.

Mine's comfortable, probably 13-14 years old. Bits fall off every now & then & it has a small tear. Quite comfortable though. Was quite pricey - I'd look for second hand if I was to buy a second one.

Had 4 chairs and stools and whilst comfortable, we just didn't quite gel with them so they went on fleabay and sold immediately to someone who travelled half the country to get to me.
