Looks like an office block and could quite possibly be a call centre.

His and her en-suite and a master bathroom. wobble

This one genuinely had me laughing out loud, so thought I'd post it here.

Grim looking building (difficult to detect that it was once a church) and the surroundings aren’t very attractive. Just horrible.

Wow.

It's like squatters broke in then decided to make it a permanent thing due to some twist in the law.

With all the big church windows bricked up, Vampire den, we need to get Buffy over there right now.

And it's not even in Nottingham, if they have to say Nottingham to get the buyers in what kind of crap hole is Kirkby-in-Ashfield?

It looks like someone moved in with grand plans and ran out of money and will power.

was my thought too! I can't understand why you'd buy a church/chapel and then try and strip all the personality out of it confused

Gone when they bricked up the windows.

The cost to reinstate them would be astronomical.

Now you've just got an inconvenient living space without the nice architectural features.

Early 2000's office park chic?
Reminds me of the front of an airport hotel.
Would not look out of place at all with a Holiday Inn Express sign above it.
Might help take the bad look off it, it looks like a cheap hotel or a pile them high retirement home.
Yep dreadful...devoid of a personality. Who the hell needs a entrance hall like that... the proportions of the place are all just wrong.

Birch House is the extravagant creation of one captain of industry who knew a thing or two about selling property.
Donald Storrie built up an estate agency business that once stretched to 32 offices in the Central Belt.
The firm, Donald Storrie Estate Agency, was bought out by Nationwide for £15 million in 1987 but the company was wise enough to ask Mr Storrie to stay on as the top man.
He became chairman of the UK-wide National Association of Estate Agents, and with the fruits of his labour bought the house called Hill of Birches in the countryside just south of Glasgow.
When selling the house, he and his wife, May, retained 14 acres on which to design their dream home from scratch.
Sadly, Mr Storrie only had three years at his perfect property before he died in 2012. The end came at Glasgow’s Marie Curie Hospice, which was only built after his tireless fund raising.

Looks like it wasn't really very fancy to begin with, just a cheap brick chapel with a few details for the doors and windows.

Market must be limited for a chapel->cheap industrial unit->squat conversion on a tight plot.

Quite important if you're from the middle East, supposedly.

There was a high end house selling round these parts a couple of years ago that had male and female wings...

The roller shutter door at the front is a particularly attractive feature.

I half expect the shutter to go up and a converted ambulance to drive out.

Looking at what's around it you can see they'd be essential.

Yes, had the potential to be amazing. Although, if I'd been paying attention I'd have realised that would be the wrong assumption as this is the nightmares thread!

You know what to expect when the exterior shot is left to the end.
