This place is in Swindon, it used to be one house on the plot (the original is the first link), the developer seems to have thought that cramming a clone of the original house onto the plot was a good idea. It might have been with plenty of land but the new build is totally at odds with available space and ends up with virtually no garden to the rear but a massive paved driveway.

From memory the new build was originally on for 400k over a year ago, with the original renovated one on at 350k.

The strip lights in the living room are unusual. Former care home maybe?

I’d only buy if I was looking to set up a greasy spoon truck stop...

Hats off to whoever wrote the description. Shows real skill to have managed such a positive tone but I can’t help thinking it’s going to appeal to very niche buyer who would be perfectly happy for a completely honest approach along the lines of ‘It’s truly awful and priced as such’.

A converted garage just outside of Cambridge. Notice how none of the pictures are of 'full' rooms - i wonder why?

Even with an agent's fishiest of fish-eye lenses that's bad.

Or maybe he just likes corners.

If ever someone from abroad wanted an example of the craziness of UK property that link would be useful. Forget the million pound 1-bedders in London, £300k for a converted garage in what appears to be a (former) council estate in Cambridge. Brilliant.

And no dimensions or sq/ft on the floorplans.

"Ample off street parking". I'm almost tempted to phone them up to ask if there's room for a garage biggrin

The agent has it placed wrong. It's actually the property adjacent to the sewage works. Literally underneath the marker on your map.

Next door seems to be a car wash currently.

(Warning anti-PC thought coming up) Surely all you could do with that is convert it into a HMO and get the council to stick recently arrived immigrants in it. Who else would ‘live’ in it. What a hole.
