Probably realised it was more work than they thought, that it's on the wrong side of town for students to want to live there and possibly the council refused to give them a HMO permit making the plan unviable anyway.
I looked at a better house than that about 2 years ago for less money. It wouldn't have needed much less work.

Nice. And I've never seen a wall mounted TV about a door before (Pic 8)!

Contemplating an offer. The ability to drive along the access and straight into the lounge clinches it for me. Parking and turning might be a bit tight though.

"A unique development opportunity"

"The site measures approximately 1.92 acres / 0.78 HA and has planning approved for three detached residences measuring 12,500 sq ft each"

To squeeze 3 new build McMansions, with tiny gardens and a shared access road, into 2 hectares and hope to sell them all for a profit after a £14M initial cost! laugh

"The site is adjacent to the renowned Coombe Hill Golf Club with the course designed by J.F. “Aber” Abercromby and is listed 57th in the top 100 courses in England, 15th in Surrey."

For £14M I'd expect my 1.9 acres to be next door to a top 30 UK // top 7 Surrey course

I can see no conceivable way you could comfortably watch that TV in that room. I doubt it is even wired in.

That is a bit odd. Two enormous but essentially useless rooms, one a big office which has the vibe of a company that bought an office but then couldn't afford any staff. The other roof space there is no photo of. The picture postcards of the village are a bit novel. They give it a vibe somewhere between The Vicar of Dibley and This Country.

Just pick a room, any room. They’re all equally loopy. I was particularly struck by the blue and beige ceiling, the 30 foot dressing table, and climbing wall in the living room.

I have no idea where to start. The 30 foot dressing table that seems to be the only place that lacks a mirror. The fact that you have about 50 seats to choose from, including one that despite the fact the place is huge, is sat blocking the dishwasher. Or the fact that you live metres from the coast, but just stare out at a huge sand dune and a vast expanse of paving slabs. Apparently you would own part of the beach. They do say you would need to speak to their legal team though, which probably means someone told them that but it is essentially useless.
