I agree!
It was st before, but now it's the jewel in a st street.
2nd floor layout is a mess, too, from trying - but failing - to make 5 bedrooms work.

Wonder why they didn't put a shower in the en-suite of Bedroom 2? Seems a bit of a waste of space if the person there will have to use the facilities in the "dressing area" anyway, they could have just had a separate toilet and shower room there.

Thoughts on this one chaps. This, in a little mining village near us was sold in 2018, here

Nightmare material then, sure.

Two years (nearly) later, it's now up for sale renovated, and for sale at near 4x the cost.

It was horrific before, but now it's incredibly unsensitive for its surroundings. I think it's awful, what about others?
Far from the worst by a long shot. Layouts could be improved, but generally its Ok. I see there is a white rendered property just opposite so that aspect is not totally out of keeping

It's not for me, but I can see its appeal and looks to be plenty of house for the money. What would the developers margin be on a job like that £50k?

Looks like a typical Homes Under the Hammer refurb - cheap house in a run-down area, paint it white, max out bedrooms and make it look 'new' - it's what a lot of people want.
Hardly a nightmare, maybe a bit jarring given what it looked like previously but that's it really.

Looks like a standard "Homes under the Hammer" job.

ETA: as Mark Benson says above!

Sticks.

This just needs a little updating. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prop...
In that road there are a few new builds. So, given the seafront location, it might be sold to knock down.

Known locally as Millionaire's Row. Much as I like Bexhill, if I could I don't think I would.

I wonder if they had wanted to split it into 2 separate 2 bed houses but could not get planning?
Is there a big market for 5 bed houses in that sort of area?

£800k for that? Is it a desirable area? How much more does it need pouring into it to make it liveable, and you'll still be living on a farm, in a shed! For a million quid!

This is a great find.

I think this is the location based on the polytunnels:

Bit grim but looks like 185-200 is about right for the road, as long as everything is ok structurally there could be some cash in that

I'd agree. You don't need to fk around deciding which bits to keep as they are.

There's no market for big houses in the Fen's - unless they come with lots of caravan parking wink

When you think you're in the arse end of nowhere stop and ask someone for directions. They'll tell you to keep going until you get to the arse end of nowhere. There really isn't anything of note out there.
