They've spent a lot of money on swanky tiling, but left all the artex in place.
Plastic light switches, too.
I like plastic light switches, and sockets.

I take it that powerfully built company directors all have metal light switches then.

Which, IMHO, are way too blingy............

You have light switches? Mine are light sensitive and controlled by staff centrally.

It's actually ok for some things to be made out of plastic.

Same - I think the metal ones look a bit naff in normal houses.
If you are really posh you have Bakelite ones from when your house was electrified, that's a kind of plastic isn't it?

I personally have a mix, however, if you've gone to the extent of what they have with that little house, you'd think they would have gone for those.

With that property, it's presented well but I suspect if you scratch the surface it'll all be spit and kleenex.

Some of the ceiling light clusters are rather intense - for example above the bed and above the sofa facing the stage in the living/concert room.

You be both blinded and melted if they were all switched on.

True, but doesn't explain why everyone wants it all over their floors.

Don't take us seriously, I think you're quite right.

The gold ones match victorian scroll door handles too.

Not so much nightmare, more of an 'eh'

Dining room now toy room, fair enough, new dining room freezing conservatory off living room

What are the silver shower hose things next to the toilets in pics 12 and 13? DIY bidet?

Showers look to have at least an 8" step to get in through a pretty narrow entrance, probably standard new build offering

Does the back garden appear to cut across next doors? So giving this house a wider garden at the expense of theirs?

I’d say it’s the change in garden level and rising boundary fence which gives the impression that the plot wraps round next door’s garden in pic 4

Just looked on Google Earth and yes, it's a change of level and the garden is actually quite small so the pictures lie.

This has been discussed on PH, a squirty shower hose to wash down the undercarriage is very popular in some places like South East Asia. One PHer says that after fitting one for his Asian wife in the UK she was not so happy with the temperature of mains cold water coming off the nearby mountain reservoir!

I thought they were for washing the pebble dashings off the sides of the bowl.

I see - (took me a while)! The rising fence creates an optical illusion (for me)!

Nope, they call them the "bum gun" for a reason!
