Can anyone recommend a product to clean up a grubby/green patio and block paving, that is safe to use around animals?

Thanks

This. Or another moss killer you spray on. Wait 3 days, bit of rain. Job done.

No just no, patio magic is the correct answer. The problem with a pressure washer is that it drives bits of lichen and miss into crevices and pores. Plus it's not good for the sand onto which block paving is laid.

Used to pressure wash - takes ages, weakens the joints and feel bad about annoying the neighbours.

This is what I now use, cheaper than Patio Magic IIRC, used on fences, gates, decking, walls. All green gunk gone within 72 hrs.

Also bought a cheap pressurised pump sprayer from Amazon.

Make sure you wear gloves and a mask and keep kids and pets away.

It's fixable...

Sunny dry day.

Keep kids and pets away till treatment has dried.

Wear wellies, gloves and glasses.

4L neat bleach (40p for 2L in Tesco) in a gorilla bucket, add same amount cold water.

Long handled paint roller.

Some elbow grease and apply generously all over.

Job done for about 14 months.

Jet washer just screws up the surface of the blocks / slabs and makes it go greener much quicker, plus it blows the grout out of the joints, promoting weed growth.

Sodium Hypochlorite.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/SODIUM-HYPOCHLORITE-LITRE...

Mix 3 parts water, 1 part SH in a watering can/vessel with spray nozzle.

Cover a manageable section at a time, agitate with a stiff bristle brush.
Repeat on a new section until you've covered the space.

DO NOT walk through the lounge with the stuff on your boots and make sure to wear old/un-prescious clothing, this stuff will stain everything.

Rinse the patio with a hose/fresh water.
Let it dry and enjoy your as-new patio.

Wish I'd taken a picture but I was blown away by how well mine came up after the above treatment. Just be careful where you splash it, it'll stain painted surfaces and kill grass/plants.
