For a pair of kids aged 3 and 5...

Needs to me EASY to erect and safe and sturdy. Budget not really an issue. Looking at a decent size, 8 foot to 12 foot.

So many to choose from!

If you want something built in-ground, give me a shout. My dad's company makes them and can hook you up with a PH discount smile

We r sports do a good selection. inspite of the chavvy name.
I bought one last year and it's very sturdy and safe.
Also they supply all the parts as spares, so it can always be repaired if required

Plum. I've got one for the little ones, its about 12ft I think, I can bounce on it with a 7 and 5 year old fine. Good quality safety net around them, well made.

Literally bigger the better.

I could only get an 8ft, a friend has a 12ft and it offers more scope for growth. I would of thought it would also lead to a decrease in head collisions, but it appears to be the same!

There should be a special place where people that ask what Trampoline/BBQ/leaf blower/power washer go to get re-educated.

We've got this one: https://www.jumpking.eu/trampolines/trampoline-typ...

Had it nearly two years and still looks new. Kids love it. Best thing we ever got for them. (Yeah we're a bit council wink)

The Jumpking range is pretty good in the quality vs. value for money stakes. Ordered from the website linked with no issues.

I bought a TP trampoline. One that is rated for a 15st user (basically so I can go on to it with the kids). I think its really good. Had it for about 4-1/2 years now and it still looks good. Legs aren't discoloured etc.
I did manage to pop a few stitches when I was on it myself and the zip front for the mesh ripped another time. I called TP and got both parts replaced with no issue. Both parts have never been fitted but when they are it will be like brand new again.

Out of interest, what the standard price of a 10-ft in-ground one? Plum ones look pricey at £400 http://www.plumplay.co.uk/in-ground-trampoline.htm...

as others- ebay shop.

£100 for a 10 or 12' one with high meshed sides.

worth tying down in winter though, they can shift a bit in high winds.

might be council, but the kids love it and can play for hours on it.

Thanks for replies.

I don't understand the council reference though - most kids I know these days have all got trampolines in the garden and spend hours bouncing and having fun on them. Am I better to deprive them of this physical exercise in favour of watching beebies in case my neighbours ( who have trampolines ) think I am "council"?

Plum look ok, TP too, but the Rebo ones seem to offer the most from what I have seen so far.

Power washers are council now? ffs, I just used one the other day to clean the deck (council!)

Ours is Jumpking's JumpPOD Classic and is 10ft but looks the same as the one in the link, and cost the same. It feels like a quality bit of kit.

It's fairly softly sprung so little kids can bounce easily on it. If they're firmly sprung they don't give much and are hard work for light weight children.

I under-estimated how much it needs to be moved around the garden to stop it affecting the grass. For winter I put it on the end of our patio and it's still there as it fits nicely. Put some rubber pads under the legs and a sandbag over one of the legs to weight it down - in strong winds it was lifting off the ground, although not travelling. It's pretty heavy but with the weight spread over eight points of contact it slides easily.

After a lot of research we ended up with a 'tp' octagonal spider leg style one.

https://www.tptoys.com/m/bounce/all_trampolines/tp...

Very well built, cover goes over springs so protects the people on it. Due to shape people don't all bounce in to the centre so safe for multiple users. Due to leg design ground does not need to be perfectly flat.

I used my power washer to clean my BBQ the other day. And we have a trampoline, which my kids absolutely love.

Which means either I'm 3 out of 4 on Mr Grimnasty's council scale, or a certain someone is a miserable old tt.

Last weekend we enjoyed a lovely barbecue in the sunshine whilst the kids played on the trampoline. It was a beautiful day. If that's council, sign me up for more.

Anyway to answer the OP - our trampoline is 12 foot, came from Argos on sale, was about £100. Easy enough to build. But be aware, when built, they are pretty massive. We have a large garden and can't see the trampoline from the house but you want to be careful how much of your garden you'll be giving up!

Plum is a good make from experience. The kids prefer the design where the netting is on the outside rather than inside. You'll understand what I mean when you look at the pictures of them.

We've get a TP as well.
Very well made and all the springs are covered so no trapped fingers. Not cheap but the sub £100 seemed like a false economy a few friends were replacing every year or thereabouts. Our TP has lasted 4 years so far.
The more expensive ones have a higher weight limit which will be important if the kids want you on as well.
