Which water softener ?

To be clear, the body fills with water. Integral float valve stops it overflowing and if that fails an overflow pipe puts the water to drain.

I fitted a Water2Buy '500' model a couple of months ago, certainly has the desired effect - no more scale on shower screens etc.. our hot water is a megaflow type so maintaining cold water pressure was important, which has been the case.

Impressed with it, works happily of the 25kg bags of salt Costco sell for about £6.50.

We also have one of their RO filters for drinking water, that's also been a good buy.

If you do buy their stuff look at it on Amazon and eBay - one is often a fair bit cheaper than the other for some reason.
