Any pictures of the area?

How about covering with decking, or pots/planters?

Pots and planters would be my choice, although they do take some looking after. I'm not keen on decks but I've seen one laid to good effect over concrete.

Pour over hot tar - chuck on grit shingle. Roll in and then cover with slight excess.

job done!

Had our whole driveway done now, lasted ages and looks great

will get some pics later...would be satisfied with smart looking grey/concrete , dont want decking or plant pots

its only a patch as big as a small car

I haven't got experience of using it externally but internally the obvious option would be SBR followed by floor levelling compound

The only issue I can think of is possible ice damage.
