Zillions of them at the end of my road. And whilst there are no trees my end, my gardens full of them, as every time the dog walks past fallen cones he brings one home.
I've noticed this year there have been far more cones falling in the pine woods I walk in, the footpaths are covered in them and you can hear them falling all around as you're walking.
Are the trees doing it as a response to stress? Due to the dry spring?
