Can any of these slabs/flagstones take the weight of a car or is that a no no?
Its not the slab that takes the weight though? It's what is under the slab and if it has been done right.Ive seen slab type driveways which appear fine over many years. Although ones around my way are mostly small driveways that you reverse on and off rather than large ones you will turn around on a lot.
I'm planning to do mine this way in a dark grey/black type affair eventually, as don't like the block paving look.

Before:
A bit ragged and worn, raccoons were beginning to peel back the turf in search of grubs, so we opted to pave it instead, maybe 150 sq ft in total, leaving the borders for planting:
total cost was somewhere around 4500 cad inc all the materials, labour and removal of old concrete etc.
Quite like this. Any idea what stone it is?A bit ragged and worn, raccoons were beginning to peel back the turf in search of grubs, so we opted to pave it instead, maybe 150 sq ft in total, leaving the borders for planting:

Also quite liking the brick weave someone else posted. Not sure it would look right with my house though?

These were not actually stone, but preformed concrete pavers of varying size, Made by a company called Permacon, not sure they are available in the U.K. Also quite liking the brick weave someone else posted. Not sure it would look right with my house though?

Got them both from the site in the links. The rainbow stuff had to be imported so took a few weeks...
I have a multi level patio (Indian sandstone sourced from near Stamford) adjoined to an oak 'John boy' veranda. I pressure washed it last weekend, it's amazing how quickly crud can build up. Removing it though, is simple and incredibly satisfying. Like scraping plaque, for the fetishists.
Thanks to whoever made the point about sealant.
