I'm no professional, but to my eyes he's heading off in the wrong direction with that net.

EDIT: Is the water level not quite right ?

biggrin

Water level is completely true - must be the camera angle.

Yes, looking at it again the reflections make it look like the level is 1 inch down on the left and floating above on the right. Bit of an optical illusion.

It's when you read threads like this you realise what a geek you are.

I was thinking more with regards to the area of paving proposed tbh.
Pretty sure you wouldn't need planning for a patio.
Providing it it not raised (and this isn't) then no planning required.

Not strictly relevant, but it is also not visible from the road or my neighbours.
Slip of the brain on my part. I hadn't twigged that PP's only required for paving front gardens (subject to permeability etc obvs).

I honestly thought the pole was resting on brackets fixed to the house and the chap was carrying a net. I thought it was odd the brackets were fixed before the major work was complete!

Can't be Harry, he would be sat in the car - giving instructions through the drivers window.

Chapeau on the pool sir, great stuff.

Paving getting down, but we can't hide the fact we have lost a day and there is more bad weather to come...

Boiler being finished ready for heating to start today and the skimmers going on to fully purge the pool...

We started on a Tuesday two weeks ago, if we finish by Tuesday next week then we have done the 3 week build.

In any event first swim will be this weekend regardless of the extent of paving.

If we run over by the same number of days we physically could not work due to the weather, then I am still classing that as a win!!!

Right, getting ready to go out for dinner, it is Francesca's Birthday today! woohoobeer

Even if you run over by 2 weeks I would still class that as a massive win!

Lets not start talk of running over. The thread title says 3 week build and it's going to be exactly what it says on the tin.

I believe in you.
