A quick thread bump. Francesca has just turned 14 (on Friday) and the pool is still being used most days.

With the recent weather it has been fantastic and when we came back from her Birthday dinner everyone was in it until very late into the night.

Her Birthday prompted me to read the whole thing back and I just have to say a big thank you to everyone who contributed to make it all so great and so much fun!

I was 46 when I posted the the original question, a few weeks later (when we started) I had turned 47 and having turned 49 now I have a big Birthday coming up next summer.

So, I believe some form of party is in order. Any and all contributors here who would like to come and join us, then just let me know.

We have nearly a year to go so absolutely no rush whatsoever, but I am making plans early. Food, drinks and music will be in place, also parking. I just need to know numbers (not now, but ahead).

Given it was 1984 when I was my daughter's age I am feeling some 80's vibe for this (which I mention only as it may attract or put off people - so now you know!)

Cheers all, I trust life is treating you well.

Happy Birthday Francesca. My middle lad is 18 on Tuesday. Hot Tub party with his mates next weekend. And alcohol. Scary times.

Party sounds fab! I’ll start my bikini body diet tomorrow then wink

What a great idea, and what a lovely offer.

As this pops up in various peoples 'My Stuff' there will be pencils poised over calendars eagerly awaiting details and trying to think of amusing things to rhyme with fork!

Threads like this and Espescially posts like this make me believe we aren't totally screwed.

some of us on this thread will never have the opportunity or wealth to do what you have done ( through our own laziness or through misfortune ) however you have invited us all in to yours and Francescas lives with open arms and no preconceptions whatsoever.

it has been a joy to follow this from start to finish and a priviledge to see so many people get behind a truly loving Family.

The Idea of you Inviting all of us Weirdos to help you Celebrate this Moment makes me glad of the day I discovered Teds little old website beer
