Some more things I've thought of for the pool house. Music and wifi, Possibly an extension from your landline too.

Music - great for pool parties. A waterproof Bluetooth speaker can do the job but is really not up to the job
Wifi - enables streaming for above
Phone - always useful (we have little mobile signal at home so most people call our land line to reach us)

Very nice, looking at your last two pics you will most likely need a 'plume kit' for that boiler now that its going to be incased in a new building, needs fresh air and to exhaust the products of combusion especially Carbon Monoxide.

Good stuff.

Is the swingers party still going ahead?

Has a date been set as I need to get in shape for my mankini.

Thanks

I was avoiding social media when this thread was started so have only just come across it.

What a fantastic thing to be able to do for your daughter.

It sounds like several lifelong friendships have also been made, which is also important.

It's brightened up a dreary south Norfolk morning.

Many thanks for sharing it.

As an aside, I also have an unworn "What would Dave do?" t-shirt.
Thanks, it was great fun to do and led to several new friendships!

My daughter is in it all year round so it has all been win win.

I might be interested in relieving you of that t-shirt! biggrin

Music - all pre-wiring going in as part of this

Wifi - the pool area has very good coverages as the router is in my study right next to it

Phone - ditto as above (annoyingly, as I like to get away from it!

biggrin

Was all measured up yesterday and should be installed today or Monday (boiler is off until this has been done) thanks! smile

Front going up now. Rain has prevented staining and application of yacht varnish on the wood here, but it should look great when finished.

I'll get closer to show the glass panels.

I would suggest it was fine for the gents but a turn off for the ladies though...

Gretchen!!!? biggrin

Some more photos (though not as interesting as a crane lifting a swimming pool!!!). smile

Staining and varnishing the bits you can see (the bits you can't are already done!) is the next step (and the bar, of course! biggrin).

Well that was an epic wasn't it?

Over the course of a week or so I have read every page of this brilliant thread, from the initial plan to the final pictures. Everything from the potential helicopter lift, the snake, the disappearing forky, the reappearing forky and the poor much maligned shed, which is now going through the shed equivalent of a full face lift.

Congratulations, what you have achieved is brilliant and summarised so well by the look on your daughter's face in the pictures of her first swim.

I have a couple of pools at home, one a bit smaller than yours and one a fair bit bigger, but I'm not much for swimming so both are 'natural' ponds and used daily by about 20 ducks, a couple of herons and, if we are very lucky a visiting Kingfisher. Water is amazingly calming and has the advantage that you don't have to mow it!

Congratulations again, any chance of a final picture of the completed shed/storage/bar area?
