We will be aiming at may for it doing whilst we're away as we are having a new bathroom and our soffits and facias doing also so for us it will be hopefully decent weather for them to do it if we go down the granite route then it would have to be the year after due to cost

I can't think of a surface which is leaf-proof. Are you suggesting that leaves don't fall onto tarmac or block drives?!

i reckon it would be harder to tidy up. raking rather than sweepig.

one thing i have noticed lately. the transition from the drive to the pavement. the better ones seem to have been set out better and look tidy where the blocks meet the pavement. other use tarmac to fill in the gap , to vaying degrees of success. others , like mine , use a cement mix which looks like the worst option.

Thats just lazy, a few bags of instant lay macadam would make it look much better.

I get a lot of leaves as I have 3 trees but a good garden vac or blower gets them up fairly quickly

Just as a follow up I’ve decided to go against resin as everyone I’ve spoke to who’s had it done think they look nice to begin with but quickly deteriorate and same with patterned concrete so following advice on here I’m looking to have blocks but don’t want any weeds

So does anyone know a reputable company in Yorkshire? As I rly don’t want to get fleeced

This is what I’m fancying and same colour sliding gate

Blocks are marshalls tegula pennant grey ( i think anyway).

Cant help with your area but maybe start with someone on the marshalls register, which while wont guarantee a great job is a good start.

Can always send me a pm with what they are quoting for in terms of size etc and ill let you know if its too cheap or expensive.

SDG Paving in Leeds have been going forever and came highly recommended to me.

Only reason I didn't use them was my mate happened to be twiddling his thumbs the exact time I went on holiday and he was looking for something to do. So I left them too it and came home to a new drive.

Steve at SDG was the same price but couldn't get started for 6-8weeks. Which was no bad thing.

Only way to properly stop weeds is to seal it.

Tegullas are quite gappy, how about the savanna? Similar but less weed prone, I think they come in the same colour too(also Marshalls)

I'll be getting this done as part of an extension build, so interested in the advice on here.

Would red or grey granite chippings work as a driveway?

Need about 100m2.

Brett Beta Trio in Silver haze with a charcoal boarder just under 85 m2 including boarder

it's cost me in materials and removal of original roughly 4 - 4.5k
