I think the estate agent probably needs to understand that lighting is important taking a picture. These pics aren't really good enough for a £1.3m house, but I think it would be worth a look if I was able...

83 acres, which is nice...

The decor needs a little revision, and I'd say a new kitchen too, but I think it still qualifies for the thread.

Think how much you now save on bridge tolls.....
You do know they were scrapped in December ?

Oh my, I really like that.

Not listed too, which means one less hurdle if you want to modify it I imagine. It seems cheap? I was under the impression that much land anywhere in Devon was worth more than that?

I guess it is a lot for a small (ish) house, no matter how much land. I'd absolutely love that if I was retired.

Glad it's found some love. Looks very low inside, which would be a problem for me. After a couple of walks along the coastal path over the festive break, I'm undecided as to whether I want to be on Dartmoor or the South Coast.

The agent has gone a bit mad with the HDR photography.

The downside is that small windows and vegetation round them on the outside walls make for a very gloomy interior, made worse by low ceilings and dark interior decor. Lovely externally however, and the setting and accompanying land are wonderful.

Not for anything more than a weekend away maybe. impractical to actually live in and certainly at £850k!

Good transport links - there's an A road just in front!

The GD thread?

Edit, oh, Grand Designs! Hadn't seen that one, saw it in the press, which highlighted that connection. Nice advertising for them!

We've discussed it a couple of times over there - once when it came up for sale on 8th October (several of us having predicted it would be up for sale imminently!), just after the programme, and again today as a result of a tabloid picking up on it. Bob Hope of getting anywhere in the vicinity of asking price.

That film is cringe-tastic.

Can't say as I like the video but I do like the house.

This one's fantastic though. I love the look of the building and passed it daily whilst it was under construction. The interior's fantastic and a million miles apart from your typical empty shell white washed penthouse apartment.

The film is utterly pretentious, which makes it hugely comedic.

The house is a clever use of a very restricted space but, for me, completely soulless. “I have to keep my books in storage”. Minimilism taken too far I’m afraid.

The zen-like calm of a decluttered space would be tested when the pigeons gorge on next-door's elderflower berries and leave huge purple/white dropping on your glass roof.

And the exercise yard will be full of burger wrappers and energy drink cans within a week.
