Very local to me too; typical bonkers South East pricing...

Elements of the interior look like they were done with the Russian footballer ethos but some very nice proportions here.

I think the gaudy, to me anyway, furniture is the main problem there. Although all the photos look as if they've had a yellow filter applied, which doesn't help. My main problem is that Gillygate has a lot of traffic and a number of pubs/bars/restraunts and lots of students who use them, and so tends to be noisy. The aspect from the back to the Minster is pretty good though.

That shower room with all the pattern in was hard to look at.

Today I shall be mostly buying a lottery ticket to fund...

It even has a double and a single garage. Bliss.

This is what you'd buy if you won the lottery? I'm glad everyone has different tastes - else the property market would be much worse.

I rather like it, I can think of worse properties to drop a million on.

Quite a few nice properties around my neck of the woods. This is currently my favourite:

If I was to ever win the lottery I'd be booking a viewing.

"Old Jockey Box"?

I'd struggle with that, TBH. hehe

My two peneth.

Why are two of the (lovely) tall chimney stacks rendered, and two bare brick?
That front door grey looks like primer, it needs to be something like navy gloss. It's a big lump of a house, it wants to be bold.
The box hedgerow around the base of the house is lovely.

The extension. There's one thing which would improve it. A JCB. It is so unsympathetic. Look at pic 13, lovely, ancient detailed features, walking into Ikea year 2060. In 30 years, if it still stands, people will look at it and ask WTF were they thinking?!

Picture 8 looks like a CGI image, look at the cooker. Could it not be finished?

All said, it is a really nice house, I'm not sure it's £3million nice mind.

Ha, never realised it could come across that way. Loads of unusual place names down here in oooo arrrrr Wiltshire. Box is the village (famous for the tunnel and Thomas the Tank Engine), house is the 'Old Jockey'.

With only a tiny amount of land who owns the rest of it around the house and down to the water ?

That concerned me as well. For £3m I'd have to 'own' the view too.
