One of those houses people buy just to say they have a big house. No redeeming features in my view.

They look like photos from some urbex website visit to a mansion abandoned 30 years ago, only without all the dust. Dated, awful and creepy.

Starts off as ugly and gets worse with every next picture as you click. Remarkable

Usual estate agent bullst “Arts & Crafts style mansion”. There’s nothing remotely A&C about it.

Needs more ornamentation smile

Rather charming, and the windows are stunning. I'd be wanting to get the faux marbling re-re-done by someone with slightly more skill though, but now I'm nit-picking.

Unfortunately, suspect the asking price is likely to be the annual running cost, rather than a one-off payment.

Oh that's just lovely. Victorian mock baronial. Cheesy in the right way with an almost in reach asking price. Now just need to figure out furnishings, running costs and the commute. hehe

This is the house of the man who created the colour 'Royal Blue'

Recently sold for £1.6 million, which seems remarkably cheap. Must be the river. I love the 'gazebo', and the steps up to it.

Wonderful mini-pile! Eye-watering running costs no doubt, and it doesn’t appear to have much land with it, but stunning nevertheless.

Suspicious lack of bedroom pics. As an ex care home, it will reek of cabbage and pensioner pee. Also has plebs living in the outbuildings, so no doubt a shared drive/land.

Been looking for a holiday home in North Devon.

Tempted to offer on this.

Guide price isn’t too scary.

Tawstock Castle, what's up for sale? It's holiday apartments is't it?

ETA Found it https://www.stags.co.uk/properties/12492191/sales

Looks like they're expecting £1.1m to £1.2m

Hope you win it. smile
