Normally Id say its too big but from the pictures, that'll do quite nicely.

Even if I had the money to be able to afford to run the place I wouldn't be keen. You'd forever have staff, trades on site. It would be as private as a bus station. School friend of my daughters lives in something close by to this and almost as big (only cost 10m) and they have 5 staff full time. What a ball ache.

On the plus side, with a bit of polish, some dusters tied to your feet, and a good run up, you could get a helluva skid going across the hallway

The chap who owns it is a serial developer - specialising in this type of property.....

It’s regrettable that developers and architects can’t come up with a modern and imaginative, 21st century dwelling instead of a pastiche of a house from a bygone architectural period. There’s very little being built these days that we’ll be able to look back on in 50+ years and say “that’s a good dwelling from 2020...”

Even with a win on the Euromillions I wouldn't be interested in reality. As you mention - Constant staff.

That's rather nice. Seems cheap to me, what's the catch? (Apart from castle running costs, obvs).

No real catch anymore now it's being sold as a complete castle, but it's location isn't great. All the midlands carpet baron's want gold plated mock Palladian with lots of doric pillars. Been for sale for ages too, this must be it's 3rd or 4th relaunch.

I'm a little short currently but I'd have that in a heartbeat. I love it.

Quite right. I like some period properties and I like some modern properties but a mixture of both never seems to work.

Absolutely. We’ve got a lot of 80’s mock Tudor around here and it all looks bloody awful to my eyes.

I do recall seeing it on here before. Being sold on behalf of the receivers not altogether surprisingly. Stunning fantasy home but would require many millions spent, years of your life and further 100's of thousands each year to run. And even then I don't think it would ever really feel like a home.

Don't sweat it. That £30M house has been posted at least 3 times this year.
