It was derelict after a "suspicious" fire in 2007.

If the BBC decided to make a drama series about mining and wanted a place for the evil pit owner to live in you could make a few bob renting this place out to them.

Am I correct in thinking it's off that sort of half roundabout, entering the town, where that house has been half built for years?
Not quite. Head another half mile towards Worksop on the A60 from you, it's down the lane on the left (signposted as a Bridleway).

It's tucked away behind trees, but there's a right of way that runs alongside the edge of the property.

Should use Wiseton Hall nearby, ex home of Richard Budge of RJB Mining.

I think I can picture where you mean. I'll keep my eyes peeled, have a job in Worksop on Friday. Sarah likes it, so if I come in to £2,700,000 I need to at least know where it is laugh

One thing for us, with property porn, is the acreage that they come with. 3 gun dogs, two (indoor) cats, and 49 birds (chickens, ducks, cockerels) plus a requirement for at least an acre for our allotment and 48x12 monster greenhouse. To us, space is the ultimate luxury, and in that respect it qualifies.

There aren’t many £3m properties near york, so I suppose they must earn a place here by default when they come up for sale

Some slightly garish decor in places, and the different door styles in picture 24 might grate a bit, but looks nice overall.

Proper garage door too. Wide enough for proper cars.

Huge extension when you see what the original part was.

I visited this place about 20 years ago for work and don’t remember it as particularly impressive from the outside (I didn’t see the interior). It’s been over-extended and has largely lost what character it had, and for £3m I’d expect a much better location. Strensall’s a huge village commutable to York and is characterised by vast housing estates. Not somewhere I’d spend this sort of money to live.

Agree. Doesn't really show off the house very much!

But its all about the lifestyle innit

Zoom in on those three windows and it looks like it’s just seen the neighbour’s waps.

I like that and I like Frome and the surroundings. It's never the most expensive place so that seems a little ott at that price but the kitchen I could live in very happily.
