I want to choose a mattress for myself and my wife.
Discussion
A bit of a bump, as I'm looking for a new mattress.
What's the deal with the companies that give you xx amount of days to return? Do they normally have an easy return process, and how do the returns normally work? Ie: when you send yours back, are you without a mattress until the new one is delivered?
Thanks

Another vote for the Simba here. I normally prefer a fairly firm mattress but the Simba is really comfy whilst being soft too. It's got 2500 conical springs in ours so has some of the feel of a decent sprung mattress. Also allows the air to circulate around it so you don't get sweaty. Something which I believe lots of the foam / latex ones suffer from especially the Ikea ones.We got ours from John Lewis as it was even cheaper there than direct from Simba.

I like casper mattress, I thought for a long time which mattress to buy. But I was helped by an article in choosing a mattress https://happysleepyhead.com/casper-mattress-review... , there are excellent written pros and cons of the mattress.
I bought one recently and its miles better than the previous Ikea memory foam one.Lopey said:

They usually arrange for collection by a charity. I had an Ergoflex & didn't like it so they arranged for ther British Heart Foundation to collect it. It was a bit of a pain really as they only collected once a month so the mattress was propped up in the spare bedroom for three weeks. Note the matress has to be clean with no stains or damage. The charity gives you a receipt & you send that off to the matress company & they then refund you. What's the deal with the companies that give you xx amount of days to return? I wouldn't be able to live without a mattress, so it rules those options out.
I'm not sure I understand your problem. Presumably you have a mattress on your bed at the moment? Order one from Casper/Leesa/Ergoflex/Otto/Simba/Emma/Sleeping Duck etc & it arrives next day in a big box. They don't take your old mattress away so you prop it up against the wall & put the new one on the bed. After 99 nights you either call the supplier & ask them to arrange collection & go back to your old mattress or you take your old one to the dump/freecycle/Gumtree it.On what side you prefer to sleep? I think it is also important factor. Everyone sleeps in their own, unique way. The big problem is that most people aren’t searching for a mattress that supports their sleeping style. Each sleeping position has its own specific needs and ideal firmness level. For example I'm a side sleeper, and I need to search mattresses like these. If you sleep for example on your back they won't be comfortable for you..I recommend to pay attention on this factor too.
My advice to you, after being married for twenty years, is to get two queen size beds. Put them together (if your bedroom has room for it) and then get the mattresses that you both feel most comfortable with. It makes one giant size bed but with the advantage of you both having room to move and are comfortable. Also , no more fighting over the duvet and you can move about during your sleep as much as you want to but it won't disturb your wife. The trick is getting mattresses that are the same height. It also means that when you've finished shagging her brains out, you can shift back over to the coolness of your own bed. Works for us!
We replaced a Hybrid Form/Spring mattress that basically I couldn't abide. Too sweaty and the springs collapsed. Switched to a John Lewis King Size with 13000 springs and it works really well. Having spent a few nights if Marriott and Crowne Plaza Hotels with Super King sized mattresses we are looking at a 20000 spring Super King which has more than enough room and they are very comfy.

Simba do, unfortunately I'd just taken my old one to the tip before my new one arrived...Only 3 weeks in but the mattress feels great so far.
I got this one from Amazon

Very happy with it so far (6 months) and about 1/3rd the price of Leeza, Emma, whatever similarly constructed types.
