They've always answered quickly when I've had cause to call them. Smart meters have always taken a while even pre-Covid, I think it took us three or four months to get someone out. Seems to vary depending on where you're located too, they have their own meter fitters for some of the country and outsource other areas.

Just FYI

If you are thinking about moving to Octopus now is a good time. As there referral is currently £100 credit.

For 8 days only. Give your friends £100 (and get £50 for yourself)

Thanks for the £50 though smile

I noticed a warning on an MSE thread that sometimes the referral (and cashback) tarrifs are dearer than non-referrral ones!

People do spout utter tosh sometimes!

This is a price without using the code, without me logging in, on a different browser to my normal and using a VPN.

This is a price with me using the referral code, on a remote computer in my office

My 24month Octopus contract is coming to an end and Im looking at switching.

is there a way on the account to view my annual kWh usage as I'd like to have that figure when searching for a new provider.

when my last fixed price contract was a couple of months off the ending date there was a link on the meter reading email from Octopus about switching and it gave my annual usage for both fuels in Kwh to use on any comparison sites so it should be easy to obtain either on the account emails or just ring them us and ask, they've always been very helpful

Given the restrictions on PH, where are people getting their referral links from now. I've already started my transfer to them but its still allowing me to add a referral code.

Got a smart meter appointment on Monday we will see if they turn up. Only been with them for 2 weeks so will be impressive if they do.

Also found a link to order an octopus. It arrived today. Pint glass for size comparison
