Wren do seem to get some stick on here but they were cheaper than DIY Kitchens for us on a comparable kitchen. Granted, their initial price was sky high but if you're prepared to haggle, you can get a good deal out of them. Wrens measure up and design service was painless too and they had some good ideas when it came to the layout.
We had no problems in terms of delivery and it all fitted together nicely. The unit quality actually appeared better than DIY Kitchens when we went to their showroom.
My advice would be to just get the units from the kitchen supplier. We found that taps, appliances, worktops etc can all be found much cheaper elsewhere.

My experience was fairly different. Wrens quoted £10k with all the sale discounts etc and said they couldn't do it any cheaper. DIYKitchens came in at about £5k (by the time appliances are added) for the same kitchen. Went to the showroom and thought the DIY units were much nicer than wrens.We had no problems in terms of delivery and it all fitted together nicely. Fitted a simple layout DIY kitchen in Malton alabaster style & it`s been fine for 18 months.
If you can get to the showroom near Doncaster you can see all the ranges set up & they even have a room with equivalent stuff from their competitors.
There were browsers there from London (x2) & Kent who had come up by train, were collected by DIY from the station befrore heading home again. They reckoned they`d save a fortune compared to London/S.E. prices.
I bought a quality tape measure, some squared layout paper & went over it about 5 times with my lad giving me the final verdict that it would work. It did! If they had a design & fit service they`d wipe the floor with the rest. You can get technical advice including layout suggestions.
Have a look at the website & it`s fairly easy to get a total price with your selection. Don`t forget the end panels!

We used Wickes last year for new kitchen. Pretty smooth project. We went to wren 1st, went through the design process which was pretty good i would say.
Lost interest when they started with the high price and all that “ the manager would love to meet you and talk about a discount” and “you are the 100th customer this month and we would like to give you a special deal” schtick. After that saw some horrific stories on line.
The wickes product seems well made, and nothing has fallen off or failed in a year!

Its not been mentioned but wicks kitchens look terrible instore and poor quality. Im also tempted with the pilgrimage to diy kitchens.
We have just augmented our kitchen with B&Q Cooke & Lewis range, predominantly because the existing kitchen was the same and I didn’t have the readies to pull the lot out and replace, especially as I went for all Miele appliances.
The joiner thinks it is as good quality as anything else he has seen; most are the same sort of construction, thickness etc so he thinks. It looks fine; in 5 or so years I’ll consider changing the lot and keeping the appliances. Some odd quirks like holes not being drilled in the right place, oven cover plates not fitting, holes not being drilled at all which is just odd, but the joiner was able to work around it all.

I put a DIY kitchens in to my house 7 years ago and have no problems with the quality. I wish I'd got a better fittter though. The ladder units etc all still work perfectly.
I've just today ordered another one from them for somewhere else. I had to ask some presales questions and they have been great. Really looking forward to getting it installed.
I helped a mate fit a wren kitchen and thought it was crap quality in comparison - no idea what it cost him.

Fitted ours earlier this year. The fact they come fully assembled and I mean fully assembled is great. Highly recommended on this forum. The box of tea-bags and biscuits for the installer is a nice touch too!The first half of our build was bought during a 10% sale the second phase was after the sale but they didn't hesitate to give us the same deal.

Visited the showroom and placed my order.asked for a discount and was told to ring the next day.called and a 10% discount had been applied.
I have bought a howdens kitchen before.managed a decent discount and was pre assembled. Unfortunately not all the units were square

I fitted these BandQ units 4 years ago. Bog standard range. I paid to have the worktops cut as I didn’t have the tools at the time. Everything else i did myself. 2 big dogs constantly crash into the cupboards with a small dog that likes to jump up and throw himself at them?! The Mrs bakes and cooks everyday hence the laminate worktops. Still looks as good as when new
