So f****** disaster. Whole toilet just falling apart when I am trying to get the bloody ballcock thing out !

Can someone urgently help. Can't turn water on until I fix this but going to take some time. Is there a cap I can get to put on the supply pipe ? No individual valve for toilet or if there is it is behind the cladding !!

If it's an emergency (been there) , and it looks like it may be as your cistern has disappeared, screw the ballcock mechanism back on to that supply and tape/cable tie it shut so it can't leak. As much.

Pull the connector off and go get a push fit end cap on it.

A cork, shaved to fit using a kitchen knife. slap a bit of grease over it if you're super picky.

A 15mm compression stop end . Remove the nut and olive. Add a fibre washer.

How did you fix things in the end?
I've had a look at my toilet as it's leaking from the overflow...not by much, but am concerned with cold weather on the way as it might freeze and then the water could be dribbling out of the toilet cistern onto the bathroom floor.
Mine is a more recent construction, but the pipes were all boxed in when I had the bathroom redecorated and now I can't work out how to remove the boxing to get at the pipework!

You don't need to get at the pipework, just take the lid off the cistern and adjust the ball height or replace the seal.
