Trying to find modern rads in raw metal (lacquered)
All I can seem to find are fairly traditional ‘school’ radiators and although I really like them, my house is probably a bit too modern to carry them off.

Anyone know of anywhere I can get either horizontal panel or tube rads in raw metal?

There may be an obvious reason I'm missing, but could you not just have the design you want stripped and lacquered?

It’s a fair question to which I don’t know the answer
Would be ideal solution though.

Take a look here: >> http://www.featureradiators.co.uk/Contemporary.htm

Specifically Core, Bare Metal Classic, Press

They also do Eskimo Gong which is flat panel type with a distressed metal finish

That’s where I’d seen the raw metal
Just all seem to be in the old ‘classic’ design though

That's because most rads are made of thin metal and would look bloody awful if not painted.

Apart from it being bent, I think it looks great unpainted! smile

I just can’t see why panel rads can’t be or aren’t raw metal lacquered.

Turning to either aluminium oxidised or just silver aluminium ones now but never seen one in the metal.

you might try these.
https://www.theradiatorcompany.co.uk/about-us/

they paint to order, so presumably they have unpainted rads somewhere.

Went for these in the end.
Love the machining marks in them and the colour
Will be a few weeks before they get fitted though.

Look like mine which are made by 'revive' I think. Got mine from mrcentralheating.co.uk who seemed to be the cheapest I could find at the time. Also have zehnder versions in which which really show up Just how much dust they gather! The raw metal ones don't show this and everyone comments on how good they look

From here - https://loveradiators.com/MHS-Multisec-Bespoke-Mad...

Very helpful people.
I’ve had one bespoke as I needed a total of 8000btu over two rads, but wanted a specific size and only two columns on one of the rads.

2 columns
Depth: 66mm
Height: 500mm
Width: 990mm
Output: 2873
£412.92

3 columns
Depth: 107mm
Height: 600mm
Length: 1220mm
Output: 5783
£580.00

Mr central heating are very cheap in comparison, but don’t do the sizes I needed.

They look superb OP. Be sure to post a pic when they're hung.

Yes, spotted those. Limited in sizes though. I need tall but not too wide.

https://www.mrcentralheating.co.uk/1800h-x-490w-2-...

Loads of options for powder coated available. 1800 x 383 doubles or 1800 x 293 triples would be perfect for me.

Yes will do.
They’re part of a major lounge overhaul including 5m bi-folds, a cylindrical freestanding log burner, walnut floor etc...

I’ll post pics when it’s all finished.

No doubt they all differ but the triples I've been looking at are around 60mm.

Good choice, I'm currently midway through a Georgian house refurb and like the traditional look with a nod towards moderns colours and textures. If in future tastes and fashions change I can remove and get them sprayed a different colour.

I got mine from www.columnrads.co.uk and was very happy with the service. To be honest they all probably source from the same supplier. But I intend to change out every single radiator in the house for these. So far 6 down, 8 to go!

What TRV's did you go for? I've used Bentley Traditional silver nickel and they suit the radiators perfectly.

TRV’s aren’t something I’ve bought yet.

Need something to match, or even go black if need be, which would tie in with the black 3D metal tiles going on the wall behind the stove...

These are the silver Nickel. All depends on the type of property really. I'd have liked to go Wifi TRV's but they all look like arse.
