Do you have a right of access in your deeds over that purple bit?

If not, you don't want to lose it..... losing the garage might mean there is no longer a need for the access.....

This forum is a bit strange, past couple evenings it's stopped me from posting saying there has been persistent misuse from new members and a temporary ban on posting for all newbies so couldn't post last night after my initial couple!
There's currently a 9pm (9 I think) cut off that is place to stop all the scammers in China and India spamming the forum overnight.

I have give you the appropriate permissions so you should be able to post tonight, please test smile.

Oooh now that's a point. I don't rightly know. I'll have to hunt out paperwork. But if it's been dropped to allow vehicular access to our sole property I would imagine we would!

I've looked this morning, there is nothing clearly noted in the paperwork anywhere. I know I don't own the purple bit, but not sure if I have rights to use it. I may need to speak with a solicitor haha.

For all of you that may remember this thread, we've only just had a builder out to quote and prep for building an attached garage and gravel drive. This will be complete by end of April. In the mean time, OH and I will be knocking down this monstrosity. I will of course update this thread with pictures!

Yeh but think of the thread ! it would be awesome. An instant PH cult classic.

The asbestos burning would probably take it into the council thread as well.

Brother in law also works for a registered asbestos removal company now, so will be helping us to (safely) remove the roof. Glad we waited as one quote to have roof removed was 2k :O

We shan't be burning it, but I'll definitely be envisioning it in flames as I take a sledgehammer to it

So BIL came early this morning and removed the roof. We have a registered asbestos waste disposal company coming tomorrow to take the remnants/sheeting away. We also purchased sledge hammers and concrete breakers today too. I'll next update when we have the whole thing flattened!

I couldn't demolish that without making a big hole in in the bottom and taking each individual brick out like a big game of jenga.

When you use the breaker make sure you don't have a mobile in your pocket, it will smash the screen. Ask me how I know!
