Would appreciate some advice guys.
I need to fix some 44mm x 8.5mm decorative battens to 6mm thick MDF in an internal room and I’d like to avoid nail heads and wood filler, so would prefer not to pin and glue.
The unpainted back of the battens would be fixed to the MDF which is finished in eggshell paint.
Is it feasible to use a grab adhesive, and if so is Evo-Stik Gripfill suitable (builders’ merchants suggested it), or would another make be better?
Thanks

Nothing we've found sticks like expanding foam, apply thinly and wedge in place. With skirtings it will remove the plaster before the skirting comes off. Despite being 'expanding foam' you can squash it very thin. We find it works for many applications.
