Best Patio Cleaner / Dirt Remover?
Discussion
Just been using Jarder for the first time, goes a long way at 1:5. Works great to get rid of mould and brighten up paving and fencing.
Sweep up first obviously, then just spray on and leave.

Do you know if the Jarder does anything with black spot?
I've inherited a huge area with major black spot issues, given time at home on my hands I've been looking into treating it myself. There's so many options, but some are ridiculously expensive per m2. The active ingredient in a lot of them is just sodium hypochlorite (aka bleach), which is available at 10%-12% solutions at far cheaper prices compared with when someone sticks it in a 5L bottle and sticks a label on it with a 600% markup...
I'm almost at the point of buying 3 or 4 products and sample testing them before committing to the amount's I'll need, but if anyone can give first hand experience of something that works that doesn't cost the earth I can shortcut the process.

Looking for a decent patio cleaner recommendation?
Something that I can just spray on and leave for a day or so and then jetwash off if needed.
This is not mould or algae - it's just more grubby dirt.
Ideally deliverable from Amazon
If it's just grubby a Jetwash will bring it up a treat. No need for chemicals. Something that I can just spray on and leave for a day or so and then jetwash off if needed.

Might give it a go. Planned to pressure wash my block paving but I cant get out to get the sand required to brush in afterwards, so something like this is probably my best bet.Sweep up first obviously, then just spray on and leave.

Theres a bit of blackspot on our paving, I would say the Jarder stuff has certainly improved/dulled it, rather than get rid of it. Perhaps should have jet washed then Jarder, but was going for a less effort option.
jet washing each year is ok but there is a certain amount of wear on paving and joints, over a period of years you end up creating the damage/more repointing for yourself so trying to jet wash every 2-3 years instead.

Good for algae and the like. Used it on my drive last week and all the green stuff disappeared after 2 dayshttps://www.amazon.co.uk/Patio-Magic-Cleaner-2-5L-...
If really bad Oleum works well. But that isn't easy to get online, you usually need a mate in a factory. Is on Ebay but not sure the QA grade of the product. Works really well on sand filled block paving but don't park your car there until after you have let a couple of good rainstorms fully wash off the residue.
Glycophosphate diluted 1:20 from neat (think the commercial neat stuff we get off Ebay is 5x 365g/L) so dilute commercial stuff down by 4 times is good. Kills moss "black stuff" which may be moss and all the weeds in between the flags. Again. Don't walk anywhere where you have plants you want to live when doing this!
B&M do an equivalent of Jeyes fluid in similar looking blue 5L cans if your just looking to clean the flags. Haven't a clue what that is (probably Hypochlorate) make sure it is a nice windy day for getting some fresh air as the fumes sting like a bd!. Cleanest drive and Yorkstone flags every though (did dissolve some lime chippings)!

Had this problem the weekend, and being a fan of the easy life, decided to use a tub of oxcyllic acid i had in the garage. Worked a treat!
I read somewhere the NapiSan worked well, I didn't have any NapiSan but I did have some Vanish Oxy Action so I thought I'd give it a go on my terrace decking. Worked a treat.Contains: Hydrogen Peroxide; Alcohols, C12-14, ethoxylated and Benzenesulfonic acid, C10-13-alkyl derivs, sodium salts.
Well since this thread started I did a load of research into various patio cleaners to help me with my general dirt and black spot problem.
After checking out the specs of lots of products, I decided to try this as it had 4 active ingredients, claimed to do black spot, and was the cheapest product in terms of £ per m2 of coverage.
Wet area, spray on, leave for as long as you can (2 hours min), don't let it dry out, wash off. I used the jet wash to rise as it cleaned off lots of extra grime. First pic shows the patio; top band is dirty and dry (grey), middle band is dirty and wet (black), nearest band is clean and wet. The slabs were so bad I thought they were grey but it turns out they were the classic mixed colours Indian sandstone.
Bottom pics show the coping stones before and after cleaning.
Well worth it and I'm buying some more to finish the job off!

This time of the year again and the patio is due a clean....
Any update on the products mentioned above - I think we tried Jeyes last year - it was OK but nothing special.
Iv'e seen BAC50 getting mentioned alot but that seems to b a fungicide / algaecide rather than a general cleaner?
