I thought that for a moment, but there are plenty of houses around there built in that stone, and in that vernacular.

Deep Water with Anna Freil.

It looks similar but yes I think maybe not the same.

I saw that. Quite surprised for a property of that type. Who owns the freehold I wonder?

Is that a common practice in the area?

Lovely property otherwise.

12 Acres a stones throw from Epsom race course?

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/85170988#/

6 Beds
£2.999M

Needs some serious modernisation work, but that stable complex could hold a hell of a car collection wink

It's hucking fugly and that stable block may only accommodate Fiat 500s, smart cars and invalid carriages.

Not for me either. The lake’s a nice feature, but the budget hotel architecture and tacky entrance gates/railings etc are big negatives for me. And the adjacent council gravel store doesn’t help.
Funnily that is a big plus for me, not the gravel but that’s an old railway line made into a path that goes for miles
Great for before mentioned dogs

Except none of those stables are deep enough to house a car so you would need to extend everyone one them somehow! Stables are not often big enough for cars.

There's the same running past my back fence, so you can get that without spending all that cash!

Mine actually goes past my parents house if you carry on for 100 miles or so.

That's gotta be a short lease because even as a Cumbrian, that is cheap!

Nice lake, the rest is a bit Gypsy.
it reminds me of some odd properties we saw in Norfolk many years ago. We called them bank robbers houses

Are you a millenial? "Invalid carriages" were a thing and tricky to airbrush from history.

Quite a creepy thing, as it happens. There used to be an old lady near us who had a very shabby one with rain cover and her skeletal features peering through the screen used to scare the bejesus out of us as children.
