The house is a bit boring but nothing a bit of cash couldn't fix.

20 acres, loads of space for cars, easily managed gardens.

I like it.
A lotta lotta house for the money. Could see myself there.

I'm going to guess at Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Sir Fynwy (Monmouthshire)?
I'm with you on the first three, I think the fourth might be Powys. Either way, it's a superb setting.
I think you're probably right, Monmouthshire too far south. I didn't realise that the owner had already said Hereford biggrin

It’s in Herefordshire, built for some local dignitary of Hereford, in the 1800’s.

Previous owner stripped it back to a shell, then gave up/ran out of cash?, so it is basically a shell., or as I prefer to think of it- a blank canvas!

Fortunately, we’ve done quite a bit of property developing, so have consistently bitten off more than we can chew, sorry, that should have read, “taken on ambitious projects” - but this time we just might have.

That said, it has huge potential - we can’t wait to get stuck in!
Wonderful. It definitely warrants a thread of its own smile
Agree with this!

One can only assume that Screwfix had some kind of bulk deal on Magnolia?

Why, on the plans, has the EA called three of the garages "Store"? Would some people say "Ooh, I don't need seven garages. Let's look elsewhere"?

Also, as is so often the case, the EA has screwed up the plans, the 'store' that's only 2.0m wide is obviously the other one. That said, I can see why it's a store because that's too narrow for a garage. wink

I know, it’ll be a tight squeeze - there’s just me, my wife and three cats, so we might have to do a loft conversion….

As for a thread of its own, I should probably do one, but progress will be slow as it’s my sort of retirement project (only 53, so not past it yet!) and we’re not starting it until the Spring.

I’ve had my own bespoke kitchen firm for some time, so we’re really going to go for it in there - think: island as big as Guernsey, separate larder and pantry, booth seating etc.

The first job is this:

Going to make it into a workshop and garage
