Has anyone driven and owned the 1 series from this year(ish).

What are your plus points, downsides and any concerns?

I'll be buying blind so will be super vigilant on checks.

I've only ever driven a 330D estate and X5. I liked the 330D but found it abit cramped inside (driving) but otherwise great.

My OH has one of them, it is a great car. Comfy and refined, drives well, and plenty of room in it. It is never going to set the world alight performance wise, but it is perfectly fine for what it is.

I'd probably map it to 187bhp which would help. Is it really that bad to reverse I.e. need to fit reverse sensors?

You found a 3 series cramped to drive and are asking about a 1 series?

For an estate... yes

I don’t get the estate comment? If you found a 3 series cramped to drive you are going to find a 1 series worse. They’re smaller for the driver (well everywhere).

Sorry to clarify I was wearing more than just a tshirt etc. If that makes sense. In the 1 series it would be just me 90% of the time so no concern for others sat behind and I'd be in relaxed clothing.
