Looks like it has all sorts of other property attached to it around the edges as part of a larger development? Weird site but cheapish.

Slight lack of bathrooms though to go with the cells.

I do quite like the basics of the building with that iron dome structure; in the right location with ownership of the whole building that could be something really nice.
Yeah, just needs a custody desk in the central area and the local constabulary could make use of that. Bucket in each cell job jobbed.
Yes I was thinking the interior reminded me of HMP Slade, wonder which is Grouty's room?

Not quite to my taste but all the design is well executed.

All that stuff though is so integrated by the architect you could never change it without basically rebuilding the whole thing so you're only going to buy it if you like it or want to bulldoze it.

Looks like a small, cheap shopping mall

I was visualising someone with dark glasses and a white stick. And too much money.

just someone with a unique taste and who wasn't afraid to get their house looking how they like. Too many bland grey on white on black houses in uk because everyone is worried about resale. Just do your own thing if you can afford it.

Build a rear extension an sell it as a bungalow.

The house its attached to has been converted to flats as well. Its quite a sizable building now.

I've also been looking at linked streetview (doesn't go to this house) and can't quite put into words what this is - https://goo.gl/maps/6J3dG3hVYY8vMKFG7

Odd is what that is.... must have taken years to grow that front hedge like that and it was already there in the earliest street view, someone's pride and joy that house I reckon!

I'd humbly suggest *not* "turning it around" - or indeed bulldozing it as was suggested earlier!!! If you don't like it, (I certainly don't like it, it's hideous), probably best to buy somewhere else and just leave it be. It's a rare large scale domestic work of celebrated architect John Outram and there will be people that absolutely love it - either way be happy it exists. There's too much bland "in keeping" rubbish out there as it is.

God awful.

A few of those types of places near me. Huge gawdy house crammed on a plot much too small
