Not much potential for enabling development to offset the restoration costs of the building
It's an asylum business surely? Lick of paint and fill it with poor buggers while over charging the State?
Isn't the average cost to house an asylum seeker circa £50k p/a?

£50k x 43 = £2.15 mill p/a

Cracking business

Sadly once the new owners get the keys a terrible electrical fault will burn the whole place to the ground...

Looks like it's currently (at least partly) used as a detox place for homeless addicts.

Sad end for what was once no doubt a lovely house.

I think the mysterious fire mentioned above might be the best thing that could happen!

A 43-bed Grade II Listed 'HMO' last used as accommodation for the homeless and in serious need of TLC. £2.75M. No wonder it's up for auction.

Who on earth would want to take this on?!

Is that the price they pay you if you are willing to take it on???

A Fire Exit sign always adds a homely touch...
And a good indicator it's been rented out as a holiday let.

Of course, but I was referring to the limited potential for devt in the grounds to finance restoration of the building.

They've photographed the distinctive church, so if you know, you do know.

Confidential Listing-

That's bizarre. Why state that?

Householder worried about prospective housebreakers?

The thing that's odd is they've posted a photograph of the driveway. As I said, if you recognise the church, you know where the house is, so it's not confidential at all.

We’ve started seeing them here too. Don’t understand, at least have a picture of that actual house from the front. This one…..

went on yesterday, it’s not like it’s a secluded property either, I can drive past and have a look so why the secrecy and subterfuge.

Could be, but if that’s the case surely they’d move out first if they cared that much

Exactly. If you want to keep the riffraff away, then you pre-approve people who want to view.

As Dolly Parton said, it costs a lot to look this cheap.

I simply can’t imagine spending that much money on a house and having overlooking neighbours

How can one Rodger the nanny and then house keeper in peace in the sex pond
