help with reversing motor and installing switch on bench saw
Discussion
I've recently inherited my late fathers Kity mufti function wood machine ,
its a French machine that went bust in 2004 guessing this machine was early 90s ? It had a single motor that drives via belts , circuklar saw / spindle motor / planer .
There are several things wrong with it , it looks like at some stage someone has messed about with the electrics the cut off switch does not work `, when plugged in the motor will turn .......... although this is in a clock wise direction , which is extremely dangerous with the circular saw .
I know its possible to reverse the direction of the motor , and i would like to install a kill switch operated by your knee , would appreciate thoughts
thanks

I used to have one of these, good machines.
When you say "clockwise", do you mean the table-saw blade is trying to push the wood upwards when feeding it in? That is indeed dangerous, but should be easy to fix by swapping the polarity. But there are an awful lot of wires in there, more than expected. The manuals are available from the ukworkshop forums.
NVR or Kill switches are a bit more complex. One alternative option is to put in a wifi plug, then you can switch off by pressing a button, or telling Alexa.

Just put the Live feed into a normally closed stop switch. https://www.screwfix.com/p/schneider-electric-xale...
This looks like it may be the replacement for the contactor which has been bridged out. https://www.tripus.de/en/Contactors-TP3250-with-4-...
