Metal Detector recomendation

I own a bit of land (10 acres) and fancy doing some metal detecting on it. There is some medieval history we live and there a fair chance armies of the Cromwell era camped near or on our land.

can anyone recommend a fairly decent detector. budget anywhere between say £300 & £800?

Much difference between the ranges? I.e. 600 v 800?

It’s been a while since I researched them and bought an 800. If I recall correctly, the 600 had slightly reduced functionality but was equally powerful. You lucky devil, with all that land of your own to work, your problem is going to be finding time to do more detecting. It’s super addictive once you start finding stuff.

Haha yeah the father in law has a about 200 acres too so if I run out on our land I’ve got plenty more to explore lol
