I have a friend who bought a shooting estate in Scotland. The railway runs through it. Apparently he has the right to demand that two trains a week stop on his land for him to board or alight - it was a condition of the railway originally being built on the land. He's never tried asking though.

Shame you cant get the train driver to stop and pick you up/drop you off though.
Indeed, but I text my wife as we cross the river and she knows to pick me up from the station in 5 mins time smile

Just as well he's not in Somerset, Dorset or Hampshire though as he'd need a boat to board to/from the train at the moment!
Travelled Bormuuff to Waterloo yesterday thinking, "I remember when all this was fields...", whilst looking at an ocean either side of the railway.

Here's one in my village - not huge, but great equestrian facilities, and nicely decorated - I can vouch for the high quality as I was at a party there over Christmas..

Know someone who lives by Guards Club Park - you certainly notice the trains there.

Really? That's where I am and I never notice them! Neither do guests when they stay over... funny?

2 things wrong with this (not including the possibility of a small garden) is the fact it's close to a rail line, and there's a lack of outside images of the property itself; Saying that, imo, that interior does look lovely:

really lovely house, shame about the downsides as they would kill it for me if i was in the market.
