Love it the room with all the wood beams and the open fire is awesome.

Yes it looks sterile but that would be easily fixed.

How many garages and can it fit a gym and a cinema. I need to know for when i win the euro lottery.

To continue the theme of homes with previous famous owners, how about this gaff, once owned by Frank Williams and Mick Jagger. I have to say this place looks spectacular and I would move in tomorrow given the choice. I would then employ an interior designer and get the whole place redecorated. What’s odd for a house of this type is that it does not have a swimming pool, but that’s easy to fix.

Nice enough but if you are going country it's grossly overpriced

+1 The enclosed courtyard buildings would make fantastic garages though.

I never even knew they'd been a couple.

It is a very nice house and decorated in a style I like, but its not worth £39 million and I suspect will be on the market for another 18 months unless they get sensible with the price

Well of course it's not worth £39mil and it's been on a while but that seems to be the going rate for houses like that in St John's Wood....and they do seem to sell. Cracy, crazy money. I live 5 mins away and not in a £30mil house!

I act for several lenders on top end London properties.

We had one in today for an interest only mortgage of £12.5m over a 10 year term.

The monthly payments are around £38K. Every month. For 10 years. And at the end of that you still owe £12.5m.

Mental.

What's that? About 3.6% pa? Probably a bit expensive for that size of debt, if it's not fixed. But prime London property? Why would you want to amortise debt on that?
