One of a few houses no doubt. Perhaps that is the house he has in Scotland that he can wheel out as a example of living in Scotland, paying taxes etc, when he's not out of the country at one of his tax havens.

A bit like owning a Prius (never used) when you have 4 Ferraris.

He has recently divorced Mrs Scottish Dragon, has he not?

Surprised that someone with an alleged net worth of £300m (from memory) didn't spend a bit more on a house and contents.
People with money usually like to keep it....

That is an absurdly low price, even in the current French market.

Yes thats it, was owned by an old lady and her daughter, they lived in a few rooms only, i understand her husband was someone senior at ICI back in the day.

I heard that the main issue was with tree preservation orders. It has new owners now who seem to be doing a cracking refurb job. Its a lovely place.

That I do like. Furnished well and with some weathering to the outside I think it would be very me.

My word that is just absurd.

So much for relatively so little compared to what we have to spend.

Does picture 15 show a neighbour's house through the window? For nearly 4 million I'd be wanting space and privacy. Lots of both.

And the agent's guff is toe-curlingly awful. The ad reads really badly.

Yes it's on a regular sized plot. Used to be another house there and it's a bit of a shame but all around Emerson Park perfectly good houses are being knocked down to build new ones in their place. You can almost spot the prospective building plots and the owners will get a note pushed through asking them if they want to sell.
