I'm currently filling in my Form E (or as I call it, my P45) for my divorce, and need to give a breakdown of income needs. However, I am obviously going to be living in a considerably smaller gaff and my monthly costs will be subsequently reduced. Having said that I have NO idea at all what costs are for utlities etc, so was wondering if anyone could give me a rough guestimate on the following costs, based on your average 3 bedroom house:

Water rates (assume on mains drainage)
Gas
Electricity
House insurance (assume value of approx £300k???)
Contents insurance (assume value of contents of approx £60k)
Errr... anything else I should consider? (I know council tax costs in my area!)

Also, what amount of money would I expect to fork out per week/month on food etc? My kids would be with me every other weekend and on night a week, so that's 2 nights out of 7 (on average) I would have them.

Thanks people and hope you can assist!

Jim

Based on our 3 bed mid terrace
(worth 160k shy of 300k)

Water £35
Gas £45
Elec £50
Contents £18 -

Food would be hit and miss depending on you
