Mrs found one hiding behind my beautiful 1990 Tannoy D80 speakers.

I've adopted him as a speaker guard as she's been trying to get rid of them for ages.

I have a new, quite large, black, 8 legged, 8 eyed friend in my bedroom.

First spotted last night, has just woken me up by walking slowly, not scurrying, across my chest.

He/she's gone into the darkness now, and was too quick for a photo op last night.

Been throwing them out for two weeks now and shes convinced its the same spider coming in time and time again, to show her she's wrong i had to "dispose" of one in tissue.

I Fear she may have been right though! GODDAMMIT!

If you've got any of those spindly little fkers that fill every corner in your house, you should banish them immediately. If you didn't already know, they are one of the UK's most venomous and will kill these lovely big fellas and wrap em up!
What spindly 'fkers'?

When I was a child, a 'pet' spider called Trudi lived in the under stairs cupboard in my parents' house. Big and black she was, she lived there for a couple of years.

Great big spider sighted chez Digga, by Mrs Digga, in the mirror in the dressing room, on her head.

I heard her scream from downstairs at the other end of the house and went to find out what was up as she's not the screaming sort. hehe

TBF, she is not afraid of spiders and although she normally prefers it if I move them, is quite happy to leave them in the house. This one she moved herself, quickly and, as much as I like spiders, I think I'd have been freaked out too. We have absolutely no idea how it got on her head.

Thread resurrection. The wife was bitten in the greenhouse 2 days ago. Had a patch about about 2 square inches of sensitivity on her arm with clearly a sting like mark in the centre. I opined that it was likely a spiders bite.
Found this beauty in there today, it’s a little over an inch long, is it a false widow?

Oh that’s ok then!

They are big and gross. What the hell do you do if you are a soldier with severe arachnophobia??
