I quite fancy a Bengal but out in Dubai it would be mistaken for something a bit bigger wink

However, if it did this to me,..there would be trouble..

And it would probably be me in tears and not the cat.

I've just noticed the weirdest thing with my Bengal...

His purr is constant, like a large bike engine on idle.

Most cats I've heard purr are in time with their breathing, or something but there's a pattern to it. With my Bengal, it's just durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr constant.

I wasn't sure it was even his purr, that maybe the PC fan was somehow resonating through him! But he took a big breath and the hum stopped and restarted.

Is that normal?! It's really quite unnerving... maybe he's a machine?

I bought a Bengal/ Burmese cross for the girlfriend. It's currently sat on her head/ cuddling her head as it does most nights in bed.
Quite vocal but I quite like it. Very attached to her. Always finds room for a full on laying up her body cuddle.
She also teaches it trucks now and again due to its intelligence.

Waiting for my flight at Frankfurt airport on Thursday, I heard a VERY loud meow coming from somewhere. On further investigation, it was coming from a pet carrier about 30 feet away.

"That MUST be a Bengal", I said to the owner. Indeed it was, 2 young cats (brother and sister) on their way from Montreal to Moscow. Quite used to travelling and happy to snuggle together, but the young male was protesting about his flight delay. It's amazing how such a cute little face can emit quite so much noise though, but the handsome little chap gave us something to smile about whilst waiting for our flights!

You don't really register that Bengals are loud until you hear "normal cats"

Last time at the vet I heard this really meek mewing noise and had no idea that's what a cat is supposed to sound like. I thought deafening yowls were the norm.

Our 3 wheeler Nismo (Nissan Motorsport when she is being a cowbag and getting a full name telling off) - named after my old 350Z - orange, noisy and no rear end grip:
