All the kittens are thriving now, they are either asleep or running riot. My wife foolishly left her shoes on the floor, and had one peed on.

Been looking after a friends 16 week old Jack Russell.

I don't think Maggie has even seen a Dog in her 18 months.



The dog is just about to get one of his 300th smacks to the head of the weekend.







They've both been really good, chasing each other around the garage and house.

Luckily we have an underground stream runs under our garden keeping it moist, during the winter it floods though.

My next door neighbour's is still that colour. And the edge of mine nearest theirs is remarkably green.

Ernie arrived for the local cat rescue charity a few months ago. He like to sit on my keyboard - I have to remember to regularly save my work!

What are people's views on monthly worm and flea treatments? I've read that they are bad for nature and so best just to treat parasites if they arise. Our vet also charges £22 a month for them!

We pay £15 a month for our pet plan, that gets us monthly flea, worm tic treatment, 12 free consultations a year, annual vaccinations and 10% off medication and dental care.

It's through our vet surgery, the direct debit simply says the name of the practice.

I see no point in spending money to treat a condition if it doesn't exist - I'm no greeny but unnecessary use of chemicals, especially pesticides, isn't a good idea. Also on the cost front it makes no sense to me - I've had my current cat 9+ years and there have been no signs of fleas or worms so that's 22 x 12 x 9 = £2,376 I still have.

Mine are all indoor cats and so we only do very occasional wormers (maybe once a year) and flea only after they've travelled as not sure who they've been in crates next to on the various planes

Both of mine are outdoor cats... the girl spends at least half her life outside, and regularly is a successful hunter.

They've been fleaed/wormed twice each in the last 7 years, while they were at the vets for other issues.

Never had a problem with either of them.

Monthly is a huge con!

Our madam wanders far and wide so we take no chances as she interacts with quite a few of the local cats whose owners don't look after them properly. Ours has a tracker.
